I'm all for public art, but everything the Christos have done strikes me as more than a bit, err, silly. The Gates strike me as no exception. I have not seen them, and do not think I'm likely to see them, so I'll reserve formal judgment on them. Allow me simply to pass on the opinions of two more learned men than I:
