At Least It's Going to Look Cool

It's still an open question whether the Disney-produced adaptation of C.S. Lewis' The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will retain the Christian allegory at the heart of the book.

What's not up for debate is whether the movie, the product of those zany Kiwis of WETA who brought you the Cave Troll and the Battle of Pelennor Fields, will look amazing. It will. Minotaurs, centaurs, fauns: the whole nine yards. Sweet...

In other preview news, the visuals from the adaptation of Frank Miller's Sin City look fantastic. I should read the Sin City series before the movie comes out. (An aside: regarding Marv, is that a prosthetic forehead, or has Mickey Rourke just had that much cosmetic surgery?) There's also something about Schultze Gets the Blues, the story of an overweight German retiree who develops a passion for zydeco, that appeals to me. Perhaps on video.
